Tiger page oneTiger is one of the kits born to one of my first two chinchillas see Surprise Kits Symptoms - I examined Tiger because his ears were red. To my horror his incisors were long and curled. He had his first incisor trim in May 1999 and continued to have trims every 4 to 5 weeks. He did lose a little weight at first but soon regained it. Different vets suggested a) he should have a molar examination under anaesthetic. b) I should consider incisor extraction. I chose not to act on either option because he took the trims in his stride, he was fit and healthy and any anaesthetic is risky. Update after nearly 4 years of 5 weekly incisor trims which presented no problems Tiger developed tooth spurs and a couple of (probably) related problems he now has 3 more page pages
