Accidents |
RositaI checked my cushion, no one there - but when I sat - oh dear - the cushion wriggled. Rosita proved to have broken a foreleg and spent 3 weeks with her leg in the outer casing of a syringe attached round her chest with very strong elastoplast. The leg itself wasn't bandaged. The only alarm was that there might be vascular damage but fortunately the bruising cleared and the vet could get a foot pulse, She was due to have it removed under a whiff of anaesthetic on the Monday but on the Saturday evening she obviously decided enough was enough and somehow got her leg out. To her annoyance she couldn't remove the plaster & casing and I risked waiting until the vet removed them on the Monday (with very little damage to the fur underneath). Rosita is fine now and functions normally, I have nearly recovered! By snail mail 14th April 2002 |
