PikachuPIKACHU'S DEATH 28/04/02 I bought Pika from a well known pet super store in Newport about three months ago, this was to provide our other Chin, Gruff with much needed company. Pika was so sweet!! Just a little older than three months old and was a dark grey with a white belly. Eventually we were able to move the Chins in together in our huge cage we have, which Gruff's previous owners made. Before bed I always check their cage to make sure of their safety etc, this one night was no exception. I checked everything out and was happy that they were safe and couldn't get out. I went to bed and thought nothing of it. The next morning my Boyfriend and I had to be up early for work so we had to dash about. I was the first to use the bathroom and that was it...there in the toilet, with his legs sticking up was Pika, drowned to death. I screamed hysterically and was very upset, you don't expect to see your beloved pet dead especially drowned in the toilet. It seems he escaped in the middle of the night and ran around the house, we always have the toilet seat down and the lid but this night, we had simply forgotten. This little oversight has cost us the life of a beautiful, loving Chinchilla.
