OliviaThis experience follows on from Mariana Caesarean/Spay. In the breeding section At the same time, I had Olivia who nearly died because her previous owners had not taken care of her properly and she weighed in at 338 grams. Olivia seemed not to care whether she lived or died, so as a diversionary tactic, I introduced her to Mariana. Olivia took to taking care of Mariana right from the beginning, bringing her food pellets and making sure that she drank from the bottle, bringing extra bedding to make Mariana more comfortable and bringing chew toys for Mariana to play with. Today Mariana and Olivia are still caged together and Olivia acts as if Mariana is her baby, warning her of danger, making sure she eats and drinks, cuddling with her. Olivia has also picked up, now weighing in at 532 grams (to Mariana's 734 grams). Received by email 10th March 2003 |
