Why Chins |
CheechI had never even seen a chinchilla before Cheech. I had no idea how to care for him. I bought a book and read a lot on the internet. So far so good. He is the sweetest little guy. I am a pet person, but I really didn't know what in the world I had taken on. Although he is time consuming what with feeding, cleaning, and exercising, I wouldn't have it any other way! He gives me great pleasure just watching him. He is SO cute!! He loves it in the evenings when I go in to free him from bondage. He stands patiently while I unhook the lock on his cage. Out he hops bouncing off this wall and that. Running up my back and onto my head. He loves to "dig" in my hair. He gives me kisses and nibbles on my socks. One night he ran right up my sons pant leg! Boy, what a trip!! I worry about people having chins that don't understand them. I think folks who sell them should screen the new owners making sure they know how to care for them. I hope people with small children realize chins are NOT for them. Personally I think they are for adults or teens who are responsible. Chins are such sweet and lovable creatures. I want them all to have loving homes. I am truly amazed by how much chin owners love their babies. It makes me smile! Rene' Received by email 27th October 2003 See also Cheech Heat Exhaustion |
