BabyWhen the clock struck 12, my partner and I drove home from a party, and went straight to bed. WE were awoken at 6:45 by Molly, the stray cat meowing. We had a small argument about who was going to let her out and then suddenly everything went quiet, and we then heard a blood-curdling scream. I dashed into the chinchilla room, where Baby and Jasmine live, and baby wasn't in his cage. He was actually hanging from Molly's mouth. I ran over to her and tried to prize her mouth open, but it was shut fast. So I covered over her nose and she dropped him. He went limp and I thought he was dead. But no he wasn't, he was bleeding from four puncture wounds in his head, very quiet, but not dead. I took him to the bathroom and wrapped him in a towel, while Matt, the other half called the emergency vet. After half an hour of trying to get through we finally spoke to the vet who said he would meet us there. I went bombing down to the vets when we arrived Baby started to perk up and wondered where he was. The vet gave us some antibiotics, said he was very lucky and that he should be ok as the cat had missed his vital organs. The next few hours were critical, but he pulled through. The vet gave me 7 days worth of antibiotics, but as soon as this ran out, and abscess began to appear. Another vet lanced it and didn't do a very good job, so my friend who is a vet nurse, helped him become the chin that he used to be.
